1986 was welcomed in on a somber note as the space shuttle Challenger exploded shortly after takeoff on January 28. On a brighter note, we will list songs six through ten on the top 40 charts for 1986. In at number six was “How Will I Know” by Whitney Houston. And at number seven, one of the greatest comics of all time, Eddie Murphy won the honors with his song “Party All The Time”.
In at number eight was one of the flash hit 80′s rock bands of all time, Survivor, with their release of “Burning Heart”. A favorite song of my sister by Me. Mister, “Kyrie” hit the number nine spot. Along with a smash hit MTV video release for said song, Robert Palmer came in at number ten on the 1986 top 40 charts for his hit “Addicted to Love”.
