New form for transferring personalised number plates
There is a new V317 for transferring personalised number plates. It does the job of the old V317 and V778/1 in one form. It is essentially the same for car to car transfers but is different for retention applications. Applications can be for 3 years instead of 1 and you can have the grantee as a different person to the applicant who is the registered keeper. this is handy for numbers which are going onto retention because they have been sold. The new owner can be the appointed as grantee instead of nominee and therefore can control the V778/1 fully in the future.
