No Stores But Plenty of Auto Parts

People in small New England towns don’t say one more word than they have to, so you learn to ask the right questions.  When I had car problems in a little town one winter I asked a local where I could find a mechanic and he just pointed.  I found the garage and the mechanic said I had electrical problems.  He added that the closest Automotive Electrical Supplies shop was a hundred miles away. Just when I was about to panic, he pulled out a laptop and ordered the parts online.  Then he grinned and said the car would be fixed in two days, which it was.
