Launch Parties
I actually didn’t know this was standard practice for debut authors. But, I’m glad it is. There’s never a bad reason to throw a party, but more importantly it was helpful for me to get the word out about web design. I was recently invited to attend a friend’s launch party and there were several other debut authors in attendance. Authors seem to really form tight circles, if you ask me. So, I got to asking how many of them had web sites, and two of every three said something along the lines of “I really need to start thinking about that.” It was a great opportunity to get the word out about web design in Ann Arbor.
