Emasculating Language
Wednesday, October 14th, 2009When couples dispute, emasculating language may be used, and it can be very damaging to the relationship. Emasculating language is used to harass; terms such as “wimp,” “sissy,” or “wus” can make a man feel incapable, useless, and powerless. Men respond strongly to these words because they attack his core being. In spite of of how society has developed, men still see themselves as providers and protectors.
Emasculating language breaks a man’s self image making them unfaithful and making it difficult for women to catch a cheating spouse. When a man hears words that have an emasculating outcome, he may start considering of looking for someone who respects his masculinity. This can result in a cheating husband.
