The Cabernet Sauvignon Red Wine
What is so special about the Cabernet Sauvignon red wine? Well, other than the fact that dominates most of the American homes, it’s a popular type of wine because of its boldness in color and taste. It is produced by dark-skinned grapes originating from Bordeaux, France. It is austerely tannic, and is often associated with the flavor of blackcurrant. It can be either medium or full-bodied and is densely colored and filled with high concentrations of Resveratrol, a healthy compound that provides anti-damaging properties. Cabernet Sauvignon has unique tasting notes in that it leaves sweet smelling of tea herbs and fresh pencil shavings. Its other aromas are that of mint and green pepper. Its flavor is partly enhanced with the heavy use of oak and it is often blended with Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Shiraz, and Petit Verdot.
