Comcast Disconnect Dastardly Die Hard Downloaders
There have been reports that ISP’s are worried that people with a high amount of internet activity will cause the lines to be unavailable for other people. That is a valid concern so they set out to find ways to do something about it. Some of the ISP”s have decided to take care of the problem by specifically targeting P2P file sharers. Some of the ISP’s have seet arbitrary limits on filesharing but have decided not to announce what the limits are. Once a user crosses the line they will get a notice. Comcast is an ISP that falls into the latter category, Comcast disconnect dastardly die hard downloaders. It looks like they are targeting specific filesharing services like BitTorrent while Ares is safe. Nobody knows what the limits are and Comcast won’t tell.
